Lead Teacher for ED Tech and Design is Employee of the Month

Our world is becoming increasingly technology-focused, and that is reflected in the technology that our students and staff use every day. As the third largest district in North Carolina, it is no easy task to keep everyone up to speed on the devices and software utilized in various positions.

Enter Jen Presley, lead teacher for ED Tech and Design. She is an invaluable asset to Guilford County Schools, assisting media coordinators, teachers, students and their parents with instructional technology needs.

“Jen always supports our librarians and teachers with a smile,” writes Natalie Strange, director of Library Media Services. “From jumping in to help organize and assign devices to creating videos that explain the differences between spam emails and phishing, Jen approaches all she does with intelligence and compassion. She’s dedicated to finding answers to all the technology quandaries, even if it takes days of work and a few packs of Takis. Jen helps bridge the divide between technology and pedagogy with humor, patience, and experience!”

Presley’s eagerness to help and find answers to even the most difficult of questions is part of what it takes to keep technology up and running for our students to learn and succeed. Her hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed in Guilford County Schools, earning her the title of Employee of the Month for May.

Presley received a $50 gift card courtesy of the Greensboro Jaycees. During the month of May, her photo will be displayed at the district’s central offices, at Technology Services and in the Greensboro Jaycees office.
